Jesus has Judas Iscariot and George Washington had Benedict Arnold and America has Ruth Bader Ginsburg. While traveling during the court's break, (who paid for this trip?) Bader visited Cairo to speak with legislators and judges and students at Cairo University. Here she told the Egyptian revolutionaries not to use the U.S. Constitution as a model. She said, "I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012."
Later in an interview on Al Hayat television Ginsberg suggested, "I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, have an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done."
Read the combined Oath of Office for a Supreme Court Justices and after watching the interview does it sound like Ginsberg was SUPPORTING and DEFENDING the Constitution as she solemnly swore when she took office? How about where she swore to “bear true faith and allegiance” to the Constitution?
The word “bear” in the dictionary has at least twenty-five meanings. For example, to hold up; support: to hold or remain firm under (a load): to hold up under; to hold or carry oneself, one's body, one's head, etc.): to conduct (oneself): to be fit for or worthy of: to transmit or spread: to render; afford; give: to bear witness; to bear testimony: to exhibit, just to list a few.
Many Americans don’t believe Ruth Bader Ginsberg is abiding by her oath of office. Watch the video and it should convince you that the time has come to America to hold politicians to their oath of office.
I, _________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as _________ under the Constitution and laws of the United States; and that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
