Ginger Zee engaged has fans of “Good Morning America” and the public at large excited for GMA’s lovely weather anchor Ginger Zee to not only have found the “love of her life” with her recent engagement to Ben Aaron of WNBC, but it was all done through the aid of banana pudding. Her real name may be Ginger Zuidgeest, but Zee says that her nickname is only one of the things that boyfriend and now husband-to-be Aaron loves about her, JobsNHire reported this Friday, Aug. 23.
Having Ginger Zee engaged is wonderful and very exciting news for the GMA meteorologist, who was more than happy to share her recent engagement news with the rest of the world, adding that the very spot where her longtime boyfriend proposed was in fact the place that they had their first date together.
"I had no idea!" the 32-year-old meteorologist said on “Good Morning America.” "It was 2:30 p.m.- I had workout clothes on and the construction crew working on the fountain burst into applause-so cute!"
Ginger Zee said that it was through the aid of banana pudding that she was able to accept the ring from the “love of her life.” Aaron, 31, had placed the ring inside a banana pudding container, and she had no idea that the plastic piece contained something so much more valuable inside than just pudding. (Ginger Zee is a diehard fan of banana pudding, albeit, something Ben Aaron knew from their very first date together.)
"We had it on our first date, and actually meet at the fountain often after work," Zee said. "So meeting there and banana pudding are very normal. I couldn't even open the box I was so shaky and crying with happiness."
Ginger Zee added on her engagement that she couldn’t be happier to have met the love of her life, as she never laughs harder with anyone else, and says she is truly the luckiest girl in the world.
"My heart is so full! I really feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world,” the weather anchor added to a smiling GMA team.
