Ginger Alden, who is known as the last love interest of Elvis Presley - the king of rock and roll – has a book coming out, and according to the Hollywood Reporter and Web Pro News on Wednesday, the cover of the soon-to-be-released memoir has been released to the public.
Alden claims to have been Presley’s fiancée at the time of his death in August of 1977. The name of her memoir is “Elvis & Ginger: Elvis Presley’s Fiancee and Last Love Finally Tells Her Story.” Among other things, Alden reportedly talks about the end of Elvis' life for the first time.
Alden, 57, is an American actress and model who is – by far – best known for reportedly having been Presley’s fiancée at the time of his death. She met the rock and roll legend in 1961 via her father who was Presley’s induction officer in 1958 when Presley joined the United States military. In 1976, she was re-introduced to Presley. The king of rock and roll proposed marriage to her on January 26, 1977 at Graceland. It was on August 16, 1977 that Elvis died at the age of 42. Alden found him lifeless on Presley’s bathroom floor.
According to the report, Alden’s book cover is a photo of Presley wearing a black jacket and purple scarf while he is holding his sunglasses. Alden is wearing a fur coat in the photo. The backdrop for the picture was a winter scene.
“Elvis & Ginger: Elvis Presley’s Fiancee and Last Love Finally Tells Her Story” is being published by Berkley Books which is an imprint of Penguin Group. The book is scheduled for an Aug. 5, 2014 release.
