Gina Sala Graces Maui with her Gifted Vocals This Sunday Night

Gina Sala Graces Maui with her Gifted Vocals This Sunday Night at The Temple of Peace in Haiku.

I spoke with Gina in between her busy schedule and asked her about her current schedule, her tour with Daniel Paul, also about her feelings in regards to returning to Maui and her up and coming events here.

In her words this morning here's some of what she had to say:

"I’m getting ready to head to Maui and am so excited to be in the sweet energy and meet with some of you. I’ve been on Maui just once, briefly, many years ago and was struck by the peaceful, sattvic (balanced) feeling there. . I’m hoping I can share in that naturally, joining with you in chant. I’ve began chanting at the age of 3 living in a Swami Sivananda Radha’s ashram. We were always taught to relate chant to the natural world, to let it inform us. More recently (and even yesterday), I’ve been studying and deepening in Sound Tantra with my teacher in India. I love bringing groups to India annually, to experience my classical Indian vocal teachers and tantra teachers. Now I’m really really blessed to offer a kirtan with Daniel Paul. He and I just finished a 19 city tour up an down the west coast and had a blast playing and singing with friends new and old. He’s the real deal. As laid back as he is, after his many years of classical playing and performing, and touring around the world for decades with some of th best musicians around, he really understands how to take the sweet devotion, the love in the heart and make it groove. What fun.

I’m passionate about the way the voice so powerfully can sing us into remembrance of Who we are behind our apparent personality. When I sang with the Cirque du Soleil, each night we put on costumes until they started to feel so normal. Sometimes it seems that’s how it is, when we pretend to be these limited selves that we normally identify.

Well, friends, peace and blessings. You can always read about me on my old web site address at ginasala.com. Consider joining us for the kirtan, raga, rhythm and yoga retreat January 30-Febuary 5 in Haiku. Or come with me to Mexico or India. We'd love to chant ourselves awake with you on January 27 in Haiku, and I"ll be around until February 8, so some private sessions in sanskrit, mantra, chanting, soundwellness, and vocal empowerment are available.

I love to sing with you, as my song says, “Because the One I love lives inside of You.”

This delightful woman is an inspiration to me and she will be to you. This is a five star event in my book and people who know my work know that I give those out most sparingly.

See you Sunday, and you definitely want to start thinking about opening your schedule for this profound workshop with two of the greats! How fortunate we are on Maui for opportunities like this.

A word about Daniel Paul:

I had the experience of taking drum lessons from Daniel Paul Many Years ago, and it was a joy and a privilege. His life has taken him many places since then, and I welcome you to experience him as he is one of the finest and most accomplished musicians I know. It will be a pleasure to participate in this sacred event.

Expect nothing less than Divine Bliss!

Lovingly,

Gaia
