Honolulu, welcomes the Grammy nominated band, Gin Blossoms. The Gin Blossoms are known for their monster hits "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You" from their break-out, 4X platinum selling album, "New Miserable Experience," released in 1992. The album was originally released under the title "Dusted," in 1989.
The band's platinum album, "Congratulations ... I'm Sorry," released in 1996, guaranteed continued success for the band.
Additional hit song selections included, "Follow You Down" which spent 10-weeks on the Top 10 singles chart. The band's effort on the song "As Long As It Matters" yielded the Gin Blossoms a Grammy Award nomination for Best Performance by a Duo or Group.
The band members worked on solo projects and re-grouped to release albums "Major Lodge Victory," in 2006 and "No Chocolate Cake," in 2010.
Gin Blossoms are currently touring, and will perform a one-night engagement in Honolulu, at The Republik.
The Republik features a full concert experience in it's main showroom and a fun, laid-back private lounge area, namely The Safehouse.
The Safehouse serves up specialty cocktails, an eclectic menu of delicious signature dishes, and some very cool tunes for the rock or reggae music buff. The Safehouse is one of the few establishments hosting a nightly prime-time Happy Hour, event from 6:00 p,m to 9:00 p.m.
Gin Blossoms are scheduled to perform on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 8:00 p.m.
The Concert Hall opens at 7:00 p.m. The general admission ticket price is $37.50. You can purchase tickets online (service fee applies), or pick-up tickets at select locations and onsite at The Safehouse lounge.
