Gillian Anderson has been cast in a new NBC pilot. The former “X-Files” star will co-star with Rachel Taylor for the new show, Deadline reported on Feb. 25.
According to the report, Gillian Anderson’s new pilot is being produced by Rand Ravich, in the NBC hopeful.
The pilot is being described as “emotionally charged action thriller,” and will mark Anderson’s first run at television since the “X-Files.”
Gillian Anderson’s new pilot co-stars Rachel Taylor, who was recently seen on the series “666 Park Avenue.” The show will follow a Secret Service agent who finds himself in an international crisis during his first day on the job when the President’s son, and many of his schoolmates are kidnapped.
Taylor plays FBI agent, Susie Dunn, whose niece, Amber, is among the kidnapped kids. While investigating the case, she is forced to reestablish a relationship with her estranged sister, Meg, played by Gillian Anderson.
