Gillette Stadium to host Brazil-Canada, possible Revolution doubleheader

Saturday, March 24, Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, will host the Brazil-Canada women in preparation for the 2012 London Olympics.

Also on March 24, the New England Revolution are scheduled to host their first home game of the 2012 season at 4 p.m. versus the Portland Timbers, so it's possible that this event could become a doubleheader.

Canada and Brazil have met three times in the past 15 months, with each match resulting in a tie. Former and five-time FIFA Player of the Year Marta leads the Brazilian women in scoring with 80 international goals since 2002 and Christine Sinclair leads Canada with 129 goals since 2000.

After this match, Brazil travel to Japan to compete in the three-nation Kirin Challenge Cup, where they'll face the USA on April 3 and Japan on April 5. The USA will battle World Cup Champion Japan Nadeshiko on April 1.
