Giggles and Hugs, Snickers and Squeeze's

When some restaurants boast about being kid friendly, all they really mean is they have a children's menu that doubles as a coloring book, provide cheap, extremely waxy crayons with little pigment but lots of toxins, and offer greasy chicken fingers. Before I go any further, chickens do not have fingers they have toes, but I guess calling it what it is, would be just too unappetizing. Why would I feed fried chicken toes or fingers to my child?
Just plain finger licking lousy is what it is.

What really gets me, is we are some of the same parents who only give our children organic, homemade food and then when we dine out, are forced to feed our offspring provisions from
Area 51.

After the second time you take your kids to one of those fake kid friendly eateries, you wise up.
So did the proprietors who opened Giggles 'N Hugs. www.gigglesnhugs.com
An authentic kid Mecca.  Located at the tip of Brentwood, Giggles 'N Hugs is a combination restaurant and indoor playground.

The menu is full of children's favorites like pizza, mac 'n cheese and salads prepared with quality ingredients. Big people can order fresh salads and frothy cappuccinos.

When you arrive, you pay a $9.00 dollar per child entrance fee. Order food at the counter and have access to a table for an hour, however the playtime is unlimited. Your children can frolic and you can work or take a breather.

Giggles 'N Hugs is open Monday-Friday 11:00am-9:00pm. In the evenings, they offer a different theme ranging from Monday night football with daddy to Friday night disco, where parents can pretend they still know the latest moves on the dance floor.
Giggles 'N Hugs is located at 11701 Wilshire Blvd. Ste 11 Los Angeles, CA. 90025 (424) 901-0904.

When I first read about the $9.00 dollar cover charge, it seemed high but when you factor in how much you spend taking you children to the movies or a theme park, along with the poor quality food at those places, it's actually a good deal. We will check it out.

Lisa, you have a really sharp wit. Keep up the post. "Chicken Toes" my six year old can't stop laughing and hopes he has a chance to order some, although now, I'm not sure if I will actually let him eat them.
