An official release date for upcoming arcade platformer Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams on consoles was announced by publisher bitComposer Games recently. The game will first be available to download for the Xbox LIVE Arcade starting on March 20th. It'll then be released on the PlayStation Network a couple of days later (a PC version is already available).
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is considered a sequel to the 2009 Nintendo DS game Giana Sisters DS which itself was a remake of the classic 1987 Commodore 64 title Great Giana Sisters.
Developed by Black Forest Games, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams was actually funded via fan donations through Kickstarter where it raised over $186,000. Black Forest Games is basically comprised of the same team members who worked on Giana Sisters DS. The developer was founded by key members of the now defunct Spellbound Interactive
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15) to download. Check out some newly released screenshots from the game in the slide show above this article.
