Giada, the new weekly digital e-zine from bestselling author and Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis is out and available through the Newsstand app. The first issue id free and future issues are going to be published every Thursday and they will be priced at 99 cents each.
Giada will be produced along with publisher Clarkson Potter/Publishers. It's available for iPad users right now and iPhone and iPod touch versions will soon follow.
“Giada has always had an exceptional level of engagement with her fans through social media," Pam Krauss, Senior Vice President and Publisher, Clarkson Potter, said. "By publishing weekly and in a digital format, Giada is able to deepen that engagement, providing a more immersive experience for her highly mobile audience while maintaining the authenticity that is a hallmark of her brand."
“I wanted to create something that I would enjoy reading, that is a cross between traditional media and social media, such as Instagram, with information you can use and an immediacy you can only get digitally," said De Laurentiis. "I also wanted to create a forum that would allow people in my life whom I admire and trust to share their own stories and expertise.”
The content of Giada will focus on food, beauty, fashion, décor for your home, health and fitness, travel, and of course, family life.
It's going to be a mix of articles, recipes, great photos, audio, and videos that include Giada. Learn what Giada has going on and what trends are developing.
Building on Giada's work on the Food Network, each content packed issue will include recipes that readers can save in what she is calling a personal “Recipe Box." These can then be shared with friends on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and more.
The first issue of Giada is free and available now for downloading from Newsstand on iPad or from www.AppStore.com/Newsstand.
