Giacomo’s on Westheimer is expanding their dining options. Starting this Tuesday, May 3 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., diners at Giacomo’s will now have the option of ordering for themselves from the counter or from their table.
“My customers continue to provide invaluable feedback,” stated Lynette Hawkins, owner and chef of Giacomo’s cibo e vino. “Many of them want the same table service during lunch that they enjoy at dinner.”After 4 p.m., service is exclusively table service.
Giacomo’s has been warmly received since its opening in September 2009, with its Venetian wine bar and cafeteria concept. Customers have raved about the amazing variety of cichetti (antipasto) and authentic small plates, the 1950s bright colors and mod furnishings.
The Houston Chronicle’s restaurant critic Alison Cook described Giacomo's as, “The very essence of what I mean by a useful restaurant. It keeps generous hours, operating continuously from lunch through dinner, so that I can pop in at any odd moment. It is casual enough that I don't have to think twice about what I'm wearing. It serves lovely, heartfelt food — including some of the best pastas in the city — that comforts and quietly delights, as if Hawkins has invited me over for an impromptu meal in her kitchen.”
Giacomo’s is located at 3215 Westheimer. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information on Giacomo’c cibo e vino, please visit the website or call 713-522-1934.
