The news of Gia Allemand’s death last week took fans and friends by surprise. On the outside she was all smiles, but on the inside she was fighting personal demons. After her death was confirmed rumors began to spread viciously about her boyfriend, Ryan Anderson being unfaithful. According to a report by TMZ on August 20, Allemand and Anderson had an argument in the hours before she decided to take her own life.
Gia Allemand suffered several heartbreaks in her short life. She was head over heels for Jake Pavelka on Season 14 of “The Bachelor” but was sent home before the final two. She participated in both seasons of “Bachelor Pad,” but self-evicted when she felt betrayed by someone she cared about.
At the time of her death Gia Allemand was 29. She reportedly hung herself using a vacuum cord and her spiral staircase. Her mother alleges she was on the phone with Allemand when she took her own life and she had been without oxygen for approximately 30 to 40 minutes before Ryan Anderson found her.
Family and friends are remembering Gia Allemand today in New York at a public wake. Allemand was a kind-hearted soul and she will be missed by many.
