Gia Allemand and her boyfriend Ryan Anderson were reportedly having problems and that has been cited as one reason that Gia was depressed. On Aug. 15, Anderson released a statement to People Magazine about the passing of his girlfriend whom he found hanged in her New Orleans home on Monday night.
"I'm deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared," Anderson said.
Gia Allemand and her boyfriend had been dating since 2011. Before that, Gia dated "Bachelor Pad" co-star, Wes Hayden. Wes was also heartbroken following the devastating news that Gia had taken her own life. Her relationship with Ryan seemed to be going well -- at least that's what the public was led to believe. However, after Gia's passing, sources revealed that Gia was hurting because of her "rocky" relationship.
Gia and Ryan were not engaged and it's unknown if that's what they were working towards. Friends of Gia were shocked to learn of her suicide -- her depression definitely didn't stand out about her. As Ryan said, she was always smiling.
Gia Allemand's boyfriend plays in the NBA.
