The British pub Ye Olde Man & Scythe is over 763 years old, and according today, July 14, the Huffington Post UK reported that the fourth oldest pub in the U.K. has proof on why it's one of the most haunted places. It was a Portuguese tourist that captured this proof, and that proof was a video that showed a strange light that was flickering in the first floor window of the pub. Richard Greenwood is the pub owner and he's looking for the tourist that captured the strange video footage.
The less than 20 second video is currently on Youtube. You can watch the ghostly footage online here. Watch it and judge for yourself if this really is a ghost or something else that isn't as sinister.
Tony Dooley, the pub manager told the news that he wasn't really happy about the footage, because that was his flat behind the window, and he learned something very scary about his flat. Dooley also made a statement that the video has now convinced him that Ye Olde Man & Scythe could really be haunted. Many already felt that it was a haunted place and have called it one of the most haunted places in the U.K.
This wasn't the first time that the Bolton located pub had made news headlines. It was back in February when the security camera in the pub captured footage of what appeared to be a ghostly figure. The surveillance system had stopped recording around 6:18 in the morning and what it recorded many believe was of a ghost. The video shared in this article is the footage of the February incident.
So once again that makes Ye Olde Man & Scythe back in the news, because of more footage of ghostly activity. The pub dates back from 1251 and it was rebuilt in 1636. Its no wonder why this place has reported weird activity because of its long history.
