It’s been two years since Fargo’s own GhostHandPunch released their debut CD, “That Spectral Dance.” Since the release of the full-length album they’ve played numerous shows, won the Aquarium’s annual ‘MadonnaRama’ competition, released the EP “Don’t Wanna” and earned second place in the High Plains Reader’s ‘Best Bets” for best band in the F-M area in 2008.

They started recording their second full-length album, “Wake UP,” shortly after the release of “That Spectral Dance.” Now, they are ready to share the fruits of their labor with Fargo-Moorhead in a special CD release party and show, Jan. 22, 2010 at the Aquarium (above Dempsey’s Public House, 226 Broadway).

The 21+ show starts at 10 p.m. with special guests Rock say Rock, Haley E. and the Rydells, and The Babysitters Club. GhostHandPunch will finish out the lineup playing selections from their new album and some old favorites. The cover is $5, which includes cookies and ‘Ghost Hand’ punch (the beverage) served by the band.
