There are many rumors about the third movie in the Ghostbusters franchise. Most of these rumors have been started by original Ghostbuster, Dan Aykroyd, himself. For all intents and purposes in his mind, Ghostbusters III is already in production. Admirable no doubt…
What do fans know? For one thing, there is a script out there, and Bill Murray apparently hates it. But other than the script, nothing else was known except for speculation.
But now there are more celebs fueling the fire: Kristen Bell (“Veronica Mars” and “House of Lies”) and Jonah Hill (“Super Bad” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall) tweeted photos of themselves next to the Ghostbuster’s infamous ride the Ecto-1.
“guys, pleeease do not be intimidated that i changed my backround to a pic of me driving Ecto-1. its not a big thang. (read: its a BIG thang)”
tweeted Bell.
“Who ya gonna call?”
tweeted Hill.
What does it mean? At this point not a lot. Early drafts of the script show that the old team is going to be passing the torch, so perhaps this is a part of the new team. Or that the actors were simply driving along and spotted the Ecto-1 and wanted to pose for a picture.
Will the actors fill the shoes of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Sigourney Weaver?
