Syfy renews "Ghost Mine" for another season. The paranormal program premiered in January and returns Wednesday, September 4, 2013 for its second season with 12 new one-hour episodes, the Broadway World reported yesterday.
“Ghost Mine” is filmed in the Cresent Mine, part of the Buckey Mine group in Oregon's Elkhorn Mountains. The show puts underground miners and paranormal investigators together to solve the cause of strange phenomena in the mine.
In the first 6-episode season, the miners encountered paranormal phenomena after they opened the mine for the first time in decades. Larry Overman, the mine's owner hired Patrick Doyle and Kristen Luman to work alongside his mining crew to help investigate the strange activity.
In the nearby town of Sumpter, "Ghost Mine" was a popular discussion among residents. They're expecting paranormal enthusiastic tourists to start showing up this summer.
“Before the new mine action begins, Syfy will air the one-hour special “Ghost Mine: Back on the Mountain” at 9 pm EST. Hosted by “Haven” star Adam Copeland, the special gathers the miners and investigators around the campfire for a spirited conversation about the highs and lows of the previous season and first-hand accounts of the creepiest moments. It also includes never-before-seen footage from Season one.”
Syfy's "Ghost Mine" season premiere airs on Wednesday, September 4, at 10 pm.
