I am hoping by now you have read my previous two parts of “How to handle spirits” and are even better prepared for your upcoming paranormal investigations. As you may have noticed, handling spirits is just as sensitive as handling the living. Everyone is different and needs to be handle delicately to ensure you and your team are not in danger. Part 3 helps handle some of the more aggressive and dangerous spirits you may encounter during your ghost hunting endeavors.
Do Not Invite Them In
Though you are opening the door for spirits to communicate with you, you must make it clear that this is the only time they can communicate with you. Make it clear you do not want them to follow you home or bother you once you leave. This also is important to remember when facing demonic entities. These can only be conjured up through invitation, such as a Ouija board, séance or other method. One simple rule to avoid demonic possessions is to simply not invite them into your lives.
Be Scientific
Do not just take something as being evidence of a haunting. Think scientifically. Look at the big picture when collecting evidence. When you get results from one method, try it again to see if it works. Then, try an alternative method to see if that works too. Scientists collect evidence based on their theories and experiments. Do the same thing when investigating. Collect as much evidence, such as pictures, voice recordings, video recordings and take lots of notes. Go into every investigation knowing that things change and expect to collect evidence during every one.
Be Afraid
It is okay to be afraid. We all have been during one investigation or another. Especially if you are new at the paranormal game. A little bit of fear also keeps us safe. Use your gut and only do what you feel comfortable doing. As time goes on you will get over that fear and if you do not…I hate to say this, but Ghost Hunting may not be right for you.
Hope this helps better prepare you for all of your future ghost hunting adventures!!
Happy haunting!
