Ghost hunting 101: How do I assemble a good team?

I cannot stress enough how important it is to never, never conduct a paranormal investigation alone. There are psychological and physical dangers you could face by attempting to do this. That is why it is important to assemble a good team. One that will work well with each other and have all the characteristics of a credible ghost hunting team.

So, how do you assemble a good team? Let’s take a look at all the different roles a good paranormal investigation team must have.

Lead Investigator

The lead investigator is the one person who is in charge of the entire investigation. They determine who pairs up together, who investigates different areas and when.

Researcher

The researcher is the one person who does all the left work before the actual investigation begins. He is the one who surfs the Internet, digs through mounds of reports, conducts interviews, makes phone calls and obtains permission to conduct the paranormal investigation.

Audio and Visual Techs

You will need audio and visual techs as part of your group. someone has to be available to not only operate all of the equipment, but also fix things on location. Especially with all of the different technical devices used on a paranormal investigation.

Investigators

There are many different types of investigators you can have on your team. Some teams like to have an intuitive or psychic on their team. You do not have to have these members on your team, unless you prefer to. However, you do need someone who is very safety conscious and is willing to arrive to the investigation site early to check for any safety concerns. Someone who is scientifically minded it great to have on your team too. This person will try to find a scientific answer for everything before he admits its paranormal.

Though ghost hunting is a serious business and should not be take lightly, it is a good idea to have a “comedian” on your team. This person will have keep everyone’s spirits up and lightens the mood when something bad happens.

Now that you know the important parts of building a great ghost hunting team, it is time to get out there and get recruiting.
