“General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini has announced that the ABC daytime drama will return to its 3 p.m. time slot this fall. In addition, fans will get to see some great storylines played out involving their favorite villains.
In the report from Aug. 18 it was confirmed that “General Hospital” will move from its current 2 p.m. time slot, back to its original 3 p.m. time slot. Included in this announcement was information that Jason Morgan would be heavily involved in a major storyline. In announcing this, Frank Valentini revealed that Billy Miller has joined the cast as Jason Morgan. Miller comes to "General Hospital" after a five year stint as Billy Abbott on the CBS daytime drama “The Young and the Restless."
Is this wishful thinking on the part of the report or has Billy Miller signed a contract to bring Jason Morgan back to “General Hospital”? According to the report there is a major storyline coming up this fall involving Victor Cassadine, portrayed by Thaao Penghlis) and Robin Scorpio, portrayed by Kimberly McCullough. The report goes on to say that “mob enforcer” Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) will play a big role in upcoming stories.
Valentini revealed that this fall will mark the return of the villains to Port Charles. Fans should be on the lookout for even more of their favorite villains to return to General Hospital. These roles will be both male and female characters, many fan favorites. Valentini promises that they will be causing problems for the residents of Port Charles.
The role of Billy Abbot on “The Young and the Restless” has been recast twice since Billy Miller vacated the role in December 2013. His last scenes as Billy Abbott aired at the end of January. David Tom assumed the role and was let go after only six months. Recently Burgess Jenkins took over the role of Billy Abbott.
It has also been announced that “The Young and the Restless” has recast the role of Adam Newman. Justin Hartley will begin taping scenes in September and they should begin airing in November. Hartley comes from the ABC nighttime drama “Mistresses.”
Fans are now waiting to hear where Michael Muhney will land. He just completed filming a movie with Gloria Loring, ex-Liz Chandler (DOOL).” The movie, “Correcting Christmas,” also stars Kelly Overton, ex-Rain Wilkins (AMC) and Rikki Naylor on the HBO series “True Blood” was produced by Remmet Studios.
