The Gettysburg National Military Park Advisory Commission has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, April 3. The commission announced the meeting on Wednesday, March 12 in the Federal Register. The meeting takes place between 7 pm and 9 pm at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum/Visitor Center Ford Education Center, 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania 17325.
The meeting will focus on an update of park operations, including the museum and visitor center, battlefield landscape rehabilitation, development of a park fire management plan and other park projects. The commission also scheduled time to hear from the public. The meeting will also include a special presentation about the history of the Licensed Battlefield Guides at Gettysburg, who will celebrate 100 years of service in 2015.
The public is welcome to attend. Enter through the group tour entrance, since visitor hours will be over. People can also file written statements about the subject matter. Send them to the commission at the above address. All comments will become part of the public record.
