getTV airing three Jimmy Stewart movies in August

James Stewart or what others like to call him Jimmy Stewart, was one of the beset actors of his time. He could do dramatic roles as well as comedic ones. You could see him even play in westerns and of course in some iconic Hitchcock movies. Well getTV is giving this classic film icon a three movie marathon on August 8. This is part of getTV's "Friday Icons," which is only fitting. The evening block starts at 7 p.m. ET.

The following three movies will be airing that night are:

The first movie that is going to air is "The Man From Laramie" which that will be airing at 7 p.m. The 1955 movie was directed by Anthony Mann. It's about a stranger, who defines a local cattle baron by working for one of the baron's oldest rivals. The film was adapted from a story by Thomas T. Flynn.

The second movie to air is "The Mountain Road," that movie will be airing at 9:20. The classic drama starred Harry Morgan, Lisa Lu, Glenn Corbett, and it was directed by Daniel Mann. The film was based off of Theodore White's 1958 novel of the same name.

The last movie to air that night is "Made For Each Other," and that air time for that movie is at 11:40 p.m. John Cromwell directed this movie that looks at a lawyer and his new bride. Carole Lombard starred opposite of James Stewart in the movie.

So once again this event is airing on August 8 and starting at 7 p.m. ET. For those who have getTV and love Jimmy Stewart won't want to miss this three movie marathon.
