Getting Ready for Spring

Even though we've already "sprung ahead," Spring is not yet here. This Daylight Saving Time push-back to March from April means that balmy breezes and warm temperatures are no longer part of the deal. And, we'll be on DST until November instead of October, which means that for all practical purposes, this is now the "Most-of-the-Year" Time.

The first day of Spring for 2013 in Wednesday, March 20th, and I am hoping that the weather warms up a bit. Of course, here in Southern California, we do not experience the definitive seasonal changes that most other parts of the country do. But, there are still some transitional signs, like the even greater abundance of fresh produce at the market. My personal indicator for the official launch of Spring is when I see everyone wearing flip-flops instead of tennis shoes!
