Getting ready for a dandy time with the Dandy Warhols.

The Dandy Warhols

For a band that was named after a pun, involving Andy Warhol, they know how to put on a good show. And coming up this Thursday, Kansas City will get just that treat.

With influences ranging from Beach Boys to The Ramones, this band has been snagging more and more fans for the past 15 years. If you're in need of "music to drink to" then this is going to be the perfect show for you.

They're heavily guitar-oriented and fully of melodic tunes and have tons of hits that will fill the night. There will even be a few moments where you're taken on a psychedelic rollercoaster through a type of Rock not heard anywhere else.

With the recent release of "The Dandy Warhols Are Sound" the band is promoting their "director's cut" of Welcome To The House on the road. They've also decided to bring along another psych-rock band called Spindrift, to really kick it up a notch.

Show info: September 3rd; Beaumont Club - Kansas City, MO; 8pm Doors - 9pm Show; Tickets - $15

I saw Spindrift in Philly a couple of weeks ago, they were really good. Definitely worth catching, they are all great musicians. You can check it out on my youtube channel, search IvyMike777
