"There are some women who are easy to get pregnant when they're 44," says Dr. Danzer. "But that's the exception. A lot of women are going to struggle after age 35."
In fact, according to the center, if women are 35 or older, much like E!'s host Giuliana, the chance of conceiving a baby is a less than 10 percent. So if it's a known fact, why do Hollywood's most prolific stars keep their baby-making struggles a secret?
CELEBRITIES KEEP MUM: INFERTILITY FEELS LIKE FAILURE
According to Dr. Danzer, celebrities may seek fertility treatment but given the "highly personal nature, choose to keep it private". In his interview with CNN, Dr. Danzer said "for many patients, infertility feels like failure."
He adds, "They have been very successful at everything they have done, and now they're failing at something for the first time in their life. And they don't know how to cope with that. It's painful."
CELEBRITY TV HOST: YOU'RE NOT ALONE
E! host Giulana Rancic confirmed the feeling and said she "felt very alone" in her own story. The 36-year-old entertainment professional said it wasn't until she began sharing her story that she felt comforted by other's struggles getting pregnant. She realized then that she wasn't alone.
Thus, the E! reality TV show "Giuliana and Bill" was born and while the couple has been scrutinized for daily choices such as Giuliana's weight and current decline to consider adoption, the couple continues to stay convicted about their openness on challenges of getting pregnant at an older age.
GIULIANA RANCIC: MY BIGGEST REGRET IN GETTING PREGNANT
After 10 years in the industry, Giuliana says she somewhat regrets not being more proactive about getting pregnant.
"The 25-year-old me often looked at the older celebs having babies and thought I would have no problem putting career first and then trying for baby later in life," she said. Adding, "It's disappointing that I've learned now that these women get IVF and they just don't talk about it."
"If we can talk about it," Rancic adds. "Women [will] know that it's okay to look at all options."
"THERE ARE A LOT OF MISCONCEPTIONS WHEN IT COMES TO FERTILITY"
Since first coming out about her pregnancy journey, Giuliana has become dedicated to supporting women dealing with infertility and since teamed up with RESOLVE, The National Infertility Association and Fertility LifeLines organization.
"There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to infertility," says the site of the Rancic's celebrity endorsement. "Giuliana and Bill Rancic have been living out their road to parenthood on national television, but most people are not as comfortable talking about fertility issues."
"That's why Giuliana and Bill have collaborated with RESOLVE...to get the word out."
