There you stand among the wine bottles stacked high in racks, one on top of another, in what seems to be an endless continuum of different labels and names. The signs read New Zealand, Spain, France and a half dozen or so other countries. The labels have pictures and names to attract your eye and descriptors like Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Meritage. You're here because you tasted a wine at a friend's home a few days prior and decided you'd like to buy it, but what was it called, and where is it? Why are there so many wines from which to choose? You see the associate from the store approaching and think, "I don't want to seem like I know nothing about wine!" After all, how embarrassing would that be in today's wine savvy world? When asked if you would like some help, you respond, "No thanks, I'm just browsing." Whew, you've dodged the embarrassment.
Asking for help with wine is easy if you're visiting a knowledgeable wine retailer.
The truth is that, in today's world of unattended aisles of wines in the grocery store and the like, how is one to know which wines are good and which ones you will like? The answer is found at the local wine shop. Wine Premiere and its associates are there to guide you through your buying experience, whether you are a novice, or an expert. They will ask you questions, and if you can help them by responding, chances are good you will walk out of the store with a wine you will enjoy. For example, had you engaged in conversation with the associate at the wine shop, you might have told her the wine was white and a little sweet, but not too sweet. You recall it seemed a bit fizzy and oddly was quite good with the spicy olives your host served. Then, to your surprise, the associate announces, "You were probably drinking a Riesling. Let me show you what we have."
