Getting down to holiday "bus"ness in Carroll County

Ride into the holiday season by taking a bus day trip. As a treat for Marylanders, the Carroll County Department of Recreation Parks will be offering numerous bus tour opportunities to various places along the east coast during the month of December.

The first trip, slated for Friday, Dec. 3, will be to New York to see The Christmas Spectacular show at Radio City Music Hall. The bus will be making an encore trip to New York on Saturday, Dec. 4, for a day of shopping and sightseeing in the Big Apple. New York is the perfect holiday city destination for shows, attractions and shopping.

The bus trips continue the following weekend. For those patriotic passengers, you may want to consider attending the Saturday, Dec. 11 bus trip to Arlington National Cemetery in VA. Visitors will stroll the grounds and get the chance to honor departed members of the armed forces by placing wreaths on graves during Wreaths Across America.

On Sunday, Dec. 12, head on up to Cape May for the ultimate Christmas shopping experience gift-wrapped in Victorian splendor. Activities will include strolling the streets, sight-seeing, exploring and attending a Christmas open house and included lunch.

Registration for these exciting day trip bus tours is currently being accepted. To register for one of these trips, call 410-386-2103 or visit www.ccgovernment.carr.org/recreation.
