On Thursday, July 31, Colorado Fashion Week presents its 1st annual fundraiser and preview event. With a runway show featuring some of the Denver area's best emerging designers along with a fashion market, this event will be a fun evening for all. Designers include Salwa Owens, Lotte by Amy Cabrera and Shayne Watson, out of Phoenix, Arizona, along with a market in which attendees can mingle with the designers and purchase some of the designs from the runway show.

In its 4th year, Colorado Fashion Week is a premiere event created with the goal of showcasing Denver as a force in the fashion industry. Created in 2011 by Justice Kwesi Kwarteng, the event includes several panels in which influential people in the industry can network and learn about new innovations in the business. Proceeds from the event will be used to grow Colorado Fashion Week, which is held each year in the first week of October. States Kwarteng, "We see the July 31st event as a unique and perfect opportunity for the greater Denver community to actively partake in the collective vision of CFW by coming out to shop the collections of the presenting designers. With this event being the first in a series of future fashion market showcases, we want to focus on designers and labels that can sell to the eager Fashion Consumer"

The event not only helps to bring visibility to designers in the Denver metro area and throughout the Rocky Mountain region, it also promotes the local economy and showcases the region's culture. Featured designer Salwa Owens manufactures her line with materials that are made in the USA. Phoenix based designer Shayne Watson brings his Navajo heritage into each design, mingling classic tradition with modern and edgy design.

Tickets for the event range from $30 to $75, and can be purchased by clicking here.
