From October 9 through November 3, Stages Repertory Theatre is showing part of Ira Levin’s trilogy of thrillers that includes "Rosemary’s Baby" and "The Stepford Wives:" "Veronica's Room" tells the story of a young couple convinced by two strangers to visit a dying woman in her isolated mansion. Once inside the house, they find that nothing is as it seems as reality and fantasy collide in a truly twisted American horror story. This show is perfect to get your Halloween thrills and chills in a theatrical setting! Directed by Josh Morrison, this thriller stars Stages favorites James Belcher, Dwight Clark, Sally Edmundson, and Teresa Zimmerman.
Join Stages after Veronica's Room this Sunday, October 20, for a conversation with the cast and psychiatrist Dr. David Ness. This chat will give audiences a better understanding of how Dr. Ness prepared the cast for such a psychological thriller and give a little more insight into the world that the play inhabits.
Tickets are available by calling the Stages box office at (713) 527-0123 or going to the Stages Repertory Theatre website. Tickets for the production start at $19. Due to the nature of the performances, this show is recommended for mature audiences only - the equivalent MPAA rating would be "R." The show contains two acts with one fifteen minute intermission and runs about two hours long.
