February of 2013 is shaping up to be a memorable month for Denver professional, as well as amateur boxing with 3 events of note taking place.
February 16th at the Longmont Athletic Club (10 Mountain View Ave) beginning at 7PM, ‘Warriors Conquest II’ features light welterweights Raul ‘El Chino’ Carrillo (10-1) and Cesar ‘The Rattlesnake’ Holguin (9-3-1) headlining with Denver fan favorite and new ‘Dad’, Juan ‘Chago’ Santiago (13-9-1, 8 KO’s) taking on John Ryan Grimaldo (8-2, 5 KO’s) as part of a very attractive undercard.

February 22nd at the Red & Jerry’s Event Center (1840 W. Oxford Ave.) beginning at 7PM, Airtight Boxing (Steve Mestas) presents ‘UPRISING’ New Blood, where a card loaded with local talent headlined by Manny ‘Manos’ Perez with Alfred ‘Tornado’ Romero, Esteban Nichol, Giovanni Merceron, Kirstie Simmons and more, looking to showcase their skills.

‘Elite Amateur Action II’, the offering of Inside Boxing.com CEO Aurelio Martinez in conjunction with former WBC World light welterweight Champion ‘Lightning’ Lonnie Smith, features senior OPEN CLASS boxers from Utah coming in to take on a group of selected Colorado ‘Olympic Style’ pugilists at the Lightning Lonnie Learning Center, 3540 E 31st Avenue in Denver on February 23rd beginning at 2PM.
‘Team Colorado’ features familiar names that includes Misael Lopez, Carlos Carrillo, Hilario Rameriz-Medina, Joseph Torres, Jr. and many more, with an undercard of specially matched juniors who should make for an exciting afternoon of amateur boxing action.
