Young Adult Paranormal author, Julia Crane has stepped outside her comfort zone in her upcoming release "Freak of Nature" (due out this Friday January 11, 2013). The author of the very popular "Keegan's Chronicle's" has stepped it up a notch to bring us a novel unlike anything that is out there right now. It is refreshing to see an author challenge herself and not conform her writing to fit this sort of new 'mold' that some authors seem to be conforming to.
"Freak of Nature" stands out on its own by just the cover of the book. Julia Crane's daughter, Eden Crane of Eden Crane Design has quickly become a very talented and standout cover artist. Eden got the chance to do the cover for "Freak of Nature" and it is simply stunning.

When seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn checked the box, she never suspected she’d have her life–and her body–stolen from her. She awakens one day in a secret laboratory to discover that her body is now half-robot and is forced to hide her own secret: that she still has human emotions and a human mind. If the scientists who made her find out, they’ll erase what remains of who she was.
Kaitlyn finds an unlikely ally in Lucas, a handsome, brilliant scientist who can’t get over the guilt he feels knowing she was once a vibrant, beautiful young woman. He never expected a science project to affect him the way she does. As he tries to help her rediscover her past, he finds himself falling for the brave girl struggling to find her place and acceptance between the human and computer worlds.
"Freak of Nature" has already gotten rave reviews from lucky bloggers who have had the chance to read advance review copies (or "ARCS" as they call them). There will be a little release day Facebook celebration on Friday January 11, 2013 that is open to the public. (Click the link to join).
