Scheiner, a Type 1 diabetic himself, is the founder of Integrated Diabetes Services and has authored several diabetic related books and numerous articles. He was named 2014 Diabetes Educator of the Year by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE).
In addition to being a CDE, he is also an insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor user and trainer. He is also a Masters level exercise physiologist. He serves on several advisory boards and volunteers with several diabetes related organizations.
Scheiner received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from Benedictine University. He received his diabetes training through the Joslin Diabetes Center.
Integrated Diabetes Services is located in Wynnewood, roughly 60 miles east of Lancaster. The company offers one on one diabetes coaching, specifically for those with Type 1 diabetes. It was founded in 1995 by Scheiner.
