Get your children to realize the emperor is not wearing clothes

This one will floor you with unexpected and perfectly-timed punch lines.

This ripping and thumping version of Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ follows the new trend in LA theater production. They actively involve their audience and it is not just by directly addressing the audience but by pulling some people on the stage. With their physical comedy and casual conversation with some members of the audience, they get people to actually “act” on stage with them and the rest to participate from their seat.

There is non-stop movement on stage. The cast banters seem to not leave a second of blank air. The costumes are flamboyant, large and loud. Best of all, they give all members of the audience that are children a free gift. It’s a real spectacle designed to get members of the family involved. It is fast-phased, funny and absolutely adorable.

It runs for 45 minutes and almost every second of that will crack up the audience as the vain but well-meaning emperor displays how his eccentric mix of gullibility and vanity leads him to the most hilarious mistake in his life, parading while wearing nothing.

The fact that this was written 200 years ago proves that a good story knows no limitation. ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’ is timeless. This is one theater experience parents should let their entire family experience.
