Get your Beatles Master's Degree!
Canadian music teacher, Mary-Lu Zahalan, is one of the first Canadians to sign up for the course and has re-located to Liverpool because she knows the degree will be good for her career: "I'm going to have a totally different perspective now on delivering that and first hand knowledge of what it was like to be here and live here and experience the people, the culture and the music scene, so I know I'm going to be a way better teacher for having this particular MA under my belt." Scotsman, George Burton, who performs in a 1960s inspired band and is also taking the Beatles course, believes the study of the iconic band is "long overdue."
Dr. Michael Brocken is the course director and about twenty students have signed up so far. While this class is ideal for those teaching music or courses about popular culture, it has universal appeal. How cool would it be to get your MA in the Beatles while living in the place where the prodigious group made it all happen? Pretty darn cool.
