Support the Special Olympics Maryland by being a dunker or sponsoring a dunker this Saturday, 22 February. This is the 16th year celebrating a Maryland tradition that benefits Special Olympics athletes who train and compete in 24 different sports across the state. The event is held behind Uno's Bar & Grill, 9814 Garrett Highway, Oakland, Maryland.

Kick off the fun weekend on Friday, 21 February at Uno's Bar & Grill from 6 pm to 9 pm with Goosebumps & Grapes: an evening of Fire & Wine. Crowd around a roaring bonfire, listen to the Honi House Band and sample wines for a $20.00 donation to SOMD. A portion of every bottle purchased will be donated to SOMD during the event.

The dunking event on Saturday is fun for the whole family. Dunkers need to raise $75.00 and register at the 16th Annual MSP/NRP Deep Creek Dunk, there is no charge for spectators. You will receive a sweatshirt to commemorate dedication to a fun time. Check the MSP/NRP website for information on what to wear for your first dunk. You can still register at the event on Saturday.
