Families travelling out of Boston’s Logan Airport during the February school vacation can take advantage of a limited-time special on an already cost-effective and convenient method of getting to and from the airport.
Logan Express operates direct bus service to Logan Airport from Braintree, Framingham, Woburn and Peobody and is currently offering a special discount for February vacation only. Under normal circumstances, it is $7 per day to park at a Logan Express’ lot, plus your bus fare. For travel between February 14 and 26, flat-rate parking of $22 will be offered. Plus, children under 17 can ride for free with an accompanying adult. Considering parking rates at Logan, ever-rising gas prices and the high cost of taxis and car services, the savings can add up quickly.
A family of four from Framingham, for example, heading away for one week, can save $80 to $120. Taking the Logan Express will cost a total of $66 ($22 for parking, $22 per adult roundtrip, $0 per child). Parking at Logan for a week costs a minimum of $108 in the economy lot and $189 in the central/terminal lots. In addition, when parking in the economy lot you need to hop a shuttle bus to the terminal which effectively makes taking the Logan Express just as convenient. Flat-rate taxis from Framingham are approximately $70 each way before tolls and tips, totaling nearly $170 when all is said and done.
