On Saturday, February 11, 2012, Ohio genealogists will have the opportunity to experience another local genealogy collection through the event, "Family History Resources at the Columbus Metropolitan Library." Offered free to the community, this event promises to highlight the library's services to area researchers as well as special collections such as the Palatine to America collection and the Huguenot collection. Also highlighted will be the extensive resources available through the library's website. Those interested in attending should register for the event through the Columbus Metropolitan Library's event calendar.
Also of note is the library's collection of materials pertaining to the research of states in the midwest as well as areas throughout the United States. Genealogists should not view this collection as one only valuable for local research. Be sure that you inquire on your area of research. There may be surprises waiting for you in the stacks!
