ABC titillated viewers on Sunday night with the “Countdown to Juan Pablo”, a pre-show that gave a little insight into “The Bachelor’s” life before the conclusion of the two-night season premiere on Monday.
Juan Pablo Galavis Guinand was born on August 5, 1981 in Ithaca, New York according to Wikipedia. The 32-year-old retired soccer player moved to Venezuela at the age of two. The newest “Bachelor” currently lives in Miami where the single dad cares for his 4-year-old daughter Camila, born on Valentine’s Day in 2009. Little has been mentioned about Camila’s mother, Carla Rodriquez, a Venezuelan actress and ex-girlfriend of the sizzling Juan Pablo.
The newest, and what some have declared the hottest “Bachelor”, is the first Latino to be cast in the "lead role" for the reality TV show. On Monday evening’s pregame Juan Pablo quipped he’d slow down his speech so he could be "better" understood by the fans and the 27 vying for his heart..
Viewers gasped when Desiree Hartsock didn’t give Juan Pablo a rose on “The Bachelorette”, however women everywhere were thrilled at a chance to cozy up to the latest “Bachelor”, including the 27 hopefuls who were notified they’d be on Season 18 when either Chris Harrison or a producer arrived at their door with a rose.
What’s Juan Pablo’s type? Fans will soon find out, although his cousins aren’t quite sure either. The tremendous amount of love and support for “The Bachelor” was evident as the family gathered to bid him farewell before he headed off into the sunset to find love.
