Get the Look: Ciara’s Red Carpet Grammy Style

Superstar Ciara stole the show at the Grammy Awards, but it wasn’t her dazzling gold dress or baby bump that had people talking – it was her head-turning hair. Eager to replicate, we turned to L'Oréal Professionnel Artist, Jennifer MacDougall and color by L'Oréal Professionnel Jason Backe for tips.

To create the color, Jason Backe applied L'Oréal Professionnel DIA Light, ammonia-free demi-permanent professional color. Then, apply L’Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Reinforcing Milk from roots to ends on damp hair followed by a smoothing product to eliminate frizz and flyaways.

Create center part & blow-dry with round brush in sections away from the face. Spray with hairspray on each section, then wrap hair loosely around large curling iron and curl middle of the hair strand.

Artist tip: If you have fly-aways, add L’Oréal Professionnel Lumi Control around face to keep the updo sleek/keep the shine

Finger comb hair back towards the nape of neck to create a loose ponytail and secure with a clear elastic, keeping the end of the hair tucked in. Then, take the end of the ponytail and twist and tuck under the faux bob.

Secure with long bobby pins, keeping the pins closed. Squeeze L’Oréal Professionel True Grip to add texture and finish with L’Oréal Professionnel Perfect Shimmer for added shine.
