Colleen LaBaff, Emmy-nominated hairstylist for CW’s “The Originals,” episode "Dance Back from the Grave," which aired in January 2014, has dished on what hair care products she used to make star Eylse Levesque and others look eerily gorgeous. Using wigs and hairstyles to mimic the look of the early 1900s, the Hair Department Head turned to a favorite brand of the Long Island Hair Care Examiner.
LaBaff is nominated for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Single-Camera Series for an episode that involved a series of flashbacks to New Orleans circa 1919, the city the family helped to build. “The Originals” is a shoot off of “The Vampire Diaries,” centered on the Mikaelson siblings. To create the vintage hairstyles and wigs of that era, Colleen, a union hairstylist, turned to IT&LY Hairfashion, N.A., who could be seen in the attached photograph preparing actress Eylse Levesque, 29, for the episode.
The celebrity hairstylist has been a fan of IT&LY Hairfashion for the past five years and uses it to assist with all of her Hollywood work, which includes “The Hunger Games,” “Iron Man 3,” “Hitchcock,” “Burlesque,” “True Blood,” “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Star Trek,” “The Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Remaining,” among others. According to Colleen LaBaff the hair care “products deliver the results I need for the eye of the cameras and directors.”
IT&LY Hairfashion, N.A. has made its presence known in Hollywood with celebrity hairstylist endorsements and has been used by the hair departments on the sets of “Sex and the City 2,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Voice,” “Modern Family,” “Glee,” and “The Dr. Oz Show,” to name a small sampling.
IT&LY Hairfashion is a favorite of the Long Island Hair Care Examiner, used on her own clients, however it is only found in fine salons. The single issue with acquiring this brand of beauty products in this region is there is only one distributor for professionals based out of Union, New Jersey, with less than par customer service and a single rate shipping charge for any size order, beneficial for large quantities, not for small ones. But, if you could get your hands on the color line or the hair care and styling lines, it is highly recommended.
