Get Romantic Tea Pairings at The Chocolate Bar

For anyone living or working on the Northern outskirts of Los Angeles, aka the San Fernando Valley, unique eateries that rival those of trendy west Hollywood or downtown are sometimes hard to come by.  However, neatly tucked into Ventura Blvd. in Encino sits The Chocolate Bar, a decadent destination for all things chocolate, and even some tea, too.

There are so many varieties of chocolate and ways to eat it, pair it, and it doesn't hurt that just about everyone loves it.  Plus, with Valentine's Day looming, there's got to be a loved one in your life that could use a chocolaty declaration of affection.  Offering just about every form of chocolate you can think of, from bon-bons, to truffles, dipped fruit, premium bars, fondue, and even steaming gourmet hot cocoa drinks, The Chocolate Bar has anything and everything that celebrates chocolate.  This extremely broad selection is part of what sets The Chocolate Bar apart, especially with their international selection of delicacies, such as those enjoyed by Belgium's Royal Court, not commonly found here in the U.S.

The great news for tea gurus who happen to be chocolate lovers is that The Chocolate Bar hosts frequent events like "Low Tea" that offers wonderful tea pairings for their exquisite selection of chocolates.  If you just missed January 31st Low Tea, not to worry- this event is planned on a monthly basis, each one with a theme befitting the current season.  Still to come this year are Victorian Tea, Mother-Daughter Celebration Tea, Spring Tea, and much more.  Up next, of course, is an elaborate Valentine's Day Brunch.

These events run about $30 a head for adults and about half as much for kids, and reservations are always required.  Whether you want to sit down for a fancy brunch with some tea and chocolate dipped strawberries with a significant other, or take a fellow tea and chocolate lover to a fun twist on Victorian Tea, the Chocolate Bar is the perfect destination and avoids the traffic of inner L.A.  For more information, visit The Chocolate Bar online, or stop by the shop Monday through Saturday between 10 and 7.
