Get ready, the witches of Oz are returning to Denver in Wicked

The Book of Mormon isn't the only hit musical that will be breaking box office records in Denver. Yes, the National Touring Production of Wicked is returning to Denver this April. Wicked sold out three previous runs in Denver in 2005, 2007, and 2009 and this fourth engagement is sure to be no exception.

“I am very pleased to have Wicked back in Denver and am proud that we are the first market to present the show for the fourth time,” said Denver Center for the Performing Arts President and DCA Executive Director, Randy Weeks. “The Wicked team diligently works to maintain the quality of Wicked; frequent rehearsals, attention to a loose button or introducing new technologies as they become available.  Hopefully I will be around for the tenth return.”
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked tells the behind-scenes-story of the witches of Oz and just how they got their reputations. It is told through a brilliant script that weaves well-known characters and plot lines into a completely original work. The musical has won three Tony Awards, six Drama Desk Awards, a Grammy, and more than 25 other awards. Fantastic music, thrilling special effects, and wonderful costumes are all a part of this blockbuster musical that you are sure to fall in love with.

Tickets for Wicked are on sale now, so be sure to get your tickets before this fourth run sells out.
