Get ready for Taylor Swift on ‘The Voice’

Taylor Swift is the latest superstar name to be linked to the upcoming season of “The Voice.” Billboard reported on August 30, 2014 that Swift could be making her way into the seventh season of “The Voice” as an advisor for all four teams which are headed up by Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and new show members Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani.

Stevie Nicks has been named as guest mentor for Team Adam while Little Big Town will be joining Shelton as Team Blake’s guest mentor. The newest members of “The Voice” are bringing in some big names for their teams with Williams naming Alicia Keys as his team mentor and Stefani will join forces with her husband Gavin Rossdale of Bush.

Swift’s role on “The Voice” would be a follow up to a surprise appearance she made on NBC’s hit show when she stopped by in 2013. Swift will be working with all four of the team members for each coach instead of focusing on one specific team as the other mentors are brought in to do. Swift’s place on “The Voice” is said to be similar to Chris Martin of Coldplay’s time during season six.

The new season of “The Voice” kicks off September 22, 2014 on NBC. Swift’s also ready to entertain us with her new album “1989” that is set for an October 27, 2014 release date that includes her new hit “Shake It Off” which reached number one on the Billboard Artist 100 list. "Shake It Off" also made it to the top spot on the Digital Songs chart and scored the title for the biggest weekly total for a song this year.
