Adoption and foster care advocate Rachel Crow is adding animated film star to her resume. Crow has a part in the upcoming "Rio 2" and tweeted a photo of herself on set on April 1.

The photo was of Rachel and John Powell - who she referred to as "amazing" - recording together for the film's soundtrack. Rachel plays Carla, the music loving older daughter of Blu and Jewel, the birds voiced by Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway.

Crow has been called the most enthusiastic star of the movie by Pop Sugar magazine. Rachel got her start on the first season of "The X Factor" in 2011 at just 13 years old. She has appeared on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows, toured with Big Time Rush and released singles. Rachel, who was adopted from foster care as an infant, was the 2013 spokesperson for National Adoption Day.

In addition to Rachel Crow, the "Rio 2" soundtrack includes Janelle Monae, Kristin Chenoweth, Bruno Mars and a long list of celebrities. It opens in theaters nationwide April 11.
