The 2012 baseball season officially began last night, with a highly-touted match-up between the returning World Series champions St. Louis Cardinals and the revamped Miami Marlins. Between the buzz about the teams and the buzz about Miami's brand-new park, it was hard too tell what was the bigger draw.
Luckily for all of us Twins fans, the wait is nearly over. Our season starts on Friday afternoon with a road game against the Baltimore Orioles, and the Twins return to Target Field on Monday for a series against the Angels.
So, we here at Minneapolis Men's Style would like to take a moment and remind you - get your gear in shape for the start of the season! While we'll be the first to tell you that sports stuff is not for every moment in your life, but cheering your team on is exactly the moment to show your team spirit.
Given the roster changes that occurred in the off-season, we know it means you may need to review what you've got for Twins gear and think about making some upgrades. We've lost some of familar faces and fan favorites (looking at you Cuddy, Kubel, and Joe Nathan). And, added some new names - Josh Willingham, Ryan Doumit, and Jamey Carroll to name just a few...
It may be time to pick out a new guy to cheer for, or maybe you just need to replace the tee-shirt you've worn into smithereens. [Actually ... think about replacing your baseball cap. Please. The women of Minnesota beg you. If your hat can walk on its own, it's time for a new one. Just sayin'.] Either way, check out one of the three Twin Cities Pro Shop locations (Apple Valley, Minnetonka, or Roseville) or hit up the Majestic Club House at Target Field. With over 4,800 square feet of space, you'll be hard-pressed to be unable to find just the right thing to wear at your next Twins game. [Or to the bar, to watch the game with your friends, beer in hand].
And if you're at the Home Opener, feel free to say "hi!" to two of your favorite Examiners, 'cause we'll be sitting with this guy.
