This weekend there are several events that active Angelinos can choose from to get some outdoor time.
On Saturday, the She Runs LA 10K will be held at 10 a.m. at Paramount Studios. Runners will race down Melrose Ave on their way to an '80s themed post-race party on the backlot. For more information and to register for She Runs LA, click here.
Also on Saturday, Trey Barnes, owner of Fleet Feet Sports in Encino, CA, will run for 24 consecutive hours. The 24-Hour Run Challenge starts on Saturday at 6:30am and will end on Sunday at 7am. Upon completing the 24-Hour Run Challenge, Barnes will lead the 10K Runners at the 10th Annual Victory for Victims Walk/Run on Sunday at Lake Balboa. The run is to raise money to break the silence and stop child abuse by raising money and awareness for the Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS). On Sunday, the latest CirLAvia will take place throughout LA. There will be 10 miles of open, car-free streets. Participants can walk, skate or cycle the route. Local businesses are encouraged to open their doors to people along the the CirLAvia. For more information about CirLAvia, please visit this site.
These are just a few of the ways to get and go. Whatever you do this weekend, make sure you move it!
