'Get it Legal': Cheech and Chong debate 'buzzkill' Ann Coulter on legalizing marijuana

Promoting "change through laughter," and saying that marijuana laws are so ridiculous you have to laugh at them," Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong debated Ann Coulter on Geraldo at Large.

"That's what 'Up in Smoke' was all about!' says Chong.  Geraldo suggests that they want to get the issue onto the front burner--so to speak.  Cheech says he would like to have marijuana changed from Schedule 1 to Schedule II- available only by prescription. Coulter says there are already problems with alcohol, namely alcoholics, and this would be like letting a genie out of a bottle.

It's a fact, Rivera states, that marijuana arrests are among the most common drug busts and take up huge amounts of resources and time;  Coulter's still against it.

I believe marijuana should be completely legal. I look at it this way: A man spends the evening drinking way too much alcohol and loses all common sense. He goes home and fights with his wife. He's so out of his mind that he beats or even kills her. Another man spends the evening smoking a great quantity of marijuana and gets as high as a kite. He goes home and... sits on his couch and watches tv while munching on junk food. Ok that's an extreme example, I admit it. But my point is that those who oppose legalizing pot are being extremely hypocritical.
