This just in from a hotel this writer never heard of called ONE UN New York. It came by way of press release today and sounded very intriguing. Perhaps you’ve heard of the place. Anyhow they are launching a unique Sky-High Weekends travel package as a tribute to the city’s skyline.
Apparently the skyscraper hotel provides jaw-dropping, panoramic views all the way from the Chrysler Building to the Freedom Tower. Guests who book a Sky-High Weekend stay in rooms that face the skyline and are allowed access to the hotel's dedicated Skyscraper Curator.
Designed by renowned architect Kevin Roche, ONE UN is situated across from the United Nations in Midtown East, at 44th Street and 1st Avenue. Rooms are plush and deluxe. Suites are available on the 29th floor of the 40-story property.
The package is valid for stays on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights and includes:
- Sky-High Evenings – A dedicated Skyscraper Curator to escort you through interesting trivia about notable skyscrapers viewable from the hotel's 30th-floor Skyline Club.
- Sky-High Accommodations – Offering breathtaking skyline-facing views and free stuff such as Wi-Fi and Skyline Club access with continental breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres.
- Sky-High Treats – A signature box of 16 Tumbador® Chocolate Bonbons, from the Brooklyn-based chocolatier, and a set of custom-made collectible NYC skyscraper postcards.
- Sky-High Education – Complimentary tickets to New York City's Skyscraper Museum in Battery Park for all Sky-High guests.
