Get help with electric bill in Ohio

If you live in the state of Ohio, and are struggling to pay the increased costs of your electric bill, there may be help available. The Ohio Energy Assistance Program is offered by the State of Ohio and could help reduce the amount you pay for the energy you use. This program is available to both homeowner and renters.

To qualify to get help with heating bill in Ohio, you must meet the following income guidelines:

** For each additional household member, add $ 7,035.00 (per household member) to the income amount. Both homeowners and renters are eligible for assistance.

If you feel you meet the income guidelines, you may get an application for help with heating bill at your local library, at your local utility office, at a county department for family services, or by calling (800) 282-0880. Applications are being accepted July 1, 2013 through June 31, 2014.
