Dstructive Nature was founded in 2013 in Philadelphia, PA as a men’s lifestyle apparel brand influenced by music, art and street culture. The brand is inspired by everyday imagery from the streets of the inner city and living rooms of suburbia. This imagery describes humanities past, but does not define humanities future. Thus the clothing is creatively designed with detail and craftsmanship to develop high-quality men’s street apparel. Dstructive Nature understands the parallel between history and fashion and aspires to forever change both, through self-expression.
“Our brand is steady growing; we continue to push the street wear envelope while listening to our customers needs,” says Jhiriek Irby the owner of Dstructive Nature. “Each season we will steadily introduce new items and offer a fresh perspective and creative spin on our classic t-shirts, sweat shirts and hats; we are excited to unveil the “Rebel Revolution” collection.”
The “Rebel Revolution” collection derived it's inspiration within urban culture, street art, and resistance to rules, order and structure. Each garment's base is neutral, while bold and distinctive graffiti driven colors, such as neon’s and metallic makes a steady appearance throughout the collection: via screen prints, stitching and other subtle details. “Rebel Revolution” is an artisanal expansion, adding cut and sew to the mix. In addition to street wear brand staples (graphic t-shirts) the “Rebel Revolution” collection features belts, denim and more.
Dstructive Nature is greatly influenced by the Philadelphian lifestyle and New York City street culture. From the people, to the food to the art, this presentation and pop-up shop will showcase these influences via creative partnerships. New York City street artist AinAc, art partner for the event and will be displaying pieces painted and motivated by the collection and iconic Philadelphia landmarks. Lifestyle blog and catering company pulledtogether serves as the food partner and will be on hand curating “New York meets Philly” themed bites. Hometown DJ KO, best known for touring with the Ruff Riders, will be spinning classic Hip-Hop tunes. Several t-shirts unveiled at the presentation will be on sale at the pop-up shop only, to maintain brand exclusivity.
